Last week I was feeling completely burned out and I dreamed of sneaking away for a few days to recharge my batteries. That wasn't a real possibility in the context of what we have going on in our family right now.
 
In the past I would have wallowed in self-pity and played the victim, staying miserable.
 
Instead I took a good hard look at what was in my circle of influence and got creative.
